Russia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Russian entry was selected through a national final, organised by the Russian broadcaster RTR. Buranovskiye Babushki represented Russia with the song "Party for Everybody", which qualified from the first semi-final and went on to place 2nd in the final, scoring 259 points.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.eurovision.tv/page/history/by-year/contest?event=1593#Scoreboard )〕 == National Final == On 28 December 2011, RTR confirmed Russia's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku by announcing the details for the national selection. All singers and songwriters were invited to apply to the selection until February, when a selection committee reviewed the received applications. A special committee selected a total of 25 acts to proceed to the national final. The Russian national final was held on 7 March 2012, hosted by Olga Shelest and Mikhail Zelenskiy.〔 After the combination of jury votes and televoting, Buranovskiye Babushki were the winners with the song "Party for Everybody".〔 The jury panel for the final consisted of: Sergej Arhipov, Igor Krutoy, Aleksandr Igudin, Philipp Kirkorov, Arman Davletyarov, Roman Emelyanov and Gennadiy Gоchshteyn.〔
